Hello friends! In my previous post I mentioned that I am making a compilation of the most important movies about Dads, taking as an excuse that we are in the month of the Father. The top is based on my opinion and I plan to follow the sequence over the course of the month. Being this my second publication on the subject, I could not ignore "The Pursuit of Happyness" a very beautiful film, directed by Gabriele Muccino and starring Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith.

¡Hola amigos! En mi anterior post les comentaba que estoy haciendo una recopilación de las películas más importantes sobre papás, tomando como excusa que estamos en el mes del Padre. El top está basado en mi opinión y pienso seguir la secuencia a lo largo del mes. Siendo esta mi segunda publicación sobre el tema, no podía pasar por alto "En busca de la felicidad" una película muy bonita, dirigida por Gabriele Muccino y protagonizada por Will Smith y su hijo Jaden Smith.

What is it about? | ¿De qué se trata?

It tells us about a stage of Chris Gardner's life, in which he seeks happiness for himself and his son, as the title of the film tells us. However, the situation he is going through is quite complicated, since he is unemployed and his wife left him in charge of his little boy. In spite of everything, Gardner does not give up and does everything possible to get ahead.

Nos relata una etapa de la vida de Chris Gardner, en la que busca la felicidad para él y su hijo, tal como nos dice el título de la película. Sin embargo la situación que atraviesa es bastante complicada, ya que se encuentra desempleado y su esposa lo abandono dejandolo a cargo de su pequeño, A pesar de todo, Gardner no se da por vencido y hace hasta lo imposible para salir adelante.

What I like most about this movie is that it tells a story that happened in real life, where our protagonist discovered that the key to success was to pursue our dreams and fight for them with all our strength. Thus teaches us Chris Gardner, a man who was looking for a better future and thanks to his courage and effort he got what he longed for, a decent life for him and his son.
Today the real Chris Gardner owns his own company, has accumulated a great fortune and also collaborates to help low-income families, those people who do not have the tools to emerge. That doesn't happen every day... a man who managed to overcome, achieved success, but still retains his humility and tries to help people who are going through a difficult situation, is an act worthy of admiration.

Lo que más me gusta de esta película es que cuenta una historia que sucedió en la vida real, donde nuestro protagonista descubrió que la clave del éxito era perseguir nuestros sueños y luchar por ellos con todas nuestras fuerzas. Así nos enseña Chris Gardner, un hombre que buscaba un futuro mejor y que gracias a su valentía y esfuerzo consiguió lo que anhelaba, una vida digna para él y su hijo.
Hoy el verdadero Chris Gardner es dueño de su propia empresa, ha acumulado una gran fortuna y además colabora para ayudar a las familias de bajos recursos, a esas personas que no poseen las herramientas para surgir. Eso no ocurre todos los días... un hombre que logró superarse, alcanzó el éxito, pero sigue conservando su humildad y trata de ayudar a las personas que están pasando por un a difícil situación, es un acto digno de admiración.

The movie is well made and the plot, despite being dramatic, is not heavy, it also has a good script with emotional parts and Will Smith's performance was spectacular. In fact, it won awards such as the Oscar for best actor, the MTV Movie Award for best performance and others...
In short it is a classic that is worth seeing, if you haven't seen it you have to do it and for those of us who have already seen it it provokes to see it again, without a doubt it is a film that invites reflection and shows us how difficult life can be. Of course, it also presents us with a very beautiful picture, which is the love of a father for his son. Films like this one are sometimes hard to find, so I recommend them 100%.

La película está bien hecha y la trama a pesar de ser dramática no se hace pesada, además tiene un buen guion con partes emotivas y la actuación de Will Smith fue espectacular. De hecho ganó premios como el Oscar al mejor actor, el MTV Movie Award a la mejor actuación y otros...
En definitiva es un clásico que merece la pena ver, si no la has visto tienes que hacerlo y para los que ya la hemos visto provoca volver a verla, sin duda es una película que invita a la reflexión y nos muestra lo difícil que puede ser la vida. Por supuesto, también nos presenta un cuadro muy hermoso, que es el amor de un padre por su hijo. Películas como esta a veces son difíciles de encontrar, por eso la recomiendo al 100%.
