Mental health is an integral part of Health and it is determined by a range of socioeconomic, biological and environmental factors. It is all about how an individual think, feel, and behave. There are different types of Mental health. Which are...
Mood disorders (such as depression or bipolar disorder)
Anxiety disorders,
Personality disorders,
Psychotic disorders (such as schizophrenia)
Eating disorders,
Trauma-related disorders (such as post-traumatic stress disorder) and
Substance abuse disorders.
Mental health is not the same as mental illness and everyone has some risk of developing a mental health disorder, no matter their age, sex, income, or ethnicity. There is a wide range of causes of Mental health, some of it are childhood abuse, loneliness discrimination and stigma,
bereavement, severe stress,
having a long-term physical health condition, loss of job or unemployment, lack of sleep and misuse of drugs and alcohol.
Just because we may not know exactly what causes someone to experience a mental health problem doesn't mean that it is any less serious than any other illness, any less deserving of recognition and treatment, or any easier to recover from. Mental health problems can feel very personal and be hard to understand. If you are suffering from mental health, you need help and it’s best to get support and treatment as soon as you can because Seeking help early can speed up your recovery.
