El autor fue Henri-François Rey, escritor, dramaturgo, periodista y dialoguista francés.
The author was Henri-François Rey, a French writer, playwright, journalist and dialogue writer.
Está novela comienza con Vicent, afamado crítico de arte, llegando a las costas de Caldeya. Allí encontrará una pequeña sociedad de decadentes franceses. La novela sigue dos acciones paralelas. Por un lado, la de Vicent y sus amigos tratando de curar algunas heridas del alma.
This novel begins with Vicent, a famous art critic, arriving on the coast of Caldeya. There he will find a small society of decadent Frenchmen. The novel follows two parallel actions. On the one hand, that of Vicent and his friends trying to heal some wounds of the soul.
Por otro lado tenemos a los hijos de estas personas, encabezadas por serge, nadien y Daniel que sufren las acciones de sus padres.
On the other hand we have the children of these people, led by Serge, Nobody and Daniel who suffer the actions of their parents.
Gloria, vieja medio bruja y que se encarga de cuidar la casa de Vicent, tuvo un amoríos con un pintor Español que vuelve muchos años después y justo antes de ver a su gran amor gloria, está muere.

Vicent vuelve a Francia y en medio de todo esto aparece los personajes de Jenny y Regnier. Jenny dueña de un bar y Regnier escritor afamado.

Lo que une a estas personas es que Jenny termina enamoriscando a Vicent y Regnier es el padre de Daniel que a su vez impresiona a Vicent por su inteligencia.
What unites these people is that Jenny ends up falling in love with Vicent and Regnier is Daniel's father, who in turn impresses Vicent with his intelligence.
Regnier es quien se fija la novela en su última parte y esa parte es la Mejor de toda la novela, pues contiene una interesante reflexión sobre el proceso creativo en la literatura.
Regnier is the one who fixes the novel in its last part and that part is the Best of the whole novel, as it contains an interesting reflection on the creative process in literature.
Una buena novela que me ha parecido olvidada en los 60, se deja leer y hace reflexionar un poco.
A good novel that seemed to me forgotten in the 60s, it lets you read and makes you reflect a bit
