River of Smoke going over the Santa Cruz Mountains

Despite being over 150 miles from the massive camp fire near Chico, the Bay Area is covered in smoke from it. Here is a shot I got with my drone showing a river of smoke flowing over the hills in the Santa Cruz mountains. Tonight there is rain in the forecast and since there is still so much smoke in the air they are saying it's going to be acid rain! I have no idea what that even means but it doesn't sound like a good thing.
