Entering Zion:

Today we left the ranch we're are staying in and explored Zion National Park on our TRIP through the western desert.

But first, good morning Kollob Canyon! (This is directly across from our ranch house.)

After we ascended to the top of the mountain we had an incredible view looking towards Zion.

After we descended down the mountain, we entered Zion. This is one of the most awe inspiring Parks I've visited. Towering cathedrals of rock stand proudly over the colorful valley floor. IMG_2130.JPG

I stacked some rock cairns in the dried river bed.

I Looked around for a bit and found a quiet spot to lay down in a grove of cottonwood trees directly below "Angel's Landing," the trail we will take on tomorrow.

We spent most of the day on floor of Zion looking up, then later we climbed a little to get the purple mountain majestic sunset.
