Dark Alchemy

IMG_6208.jpeg

deep in the glen
where the light
cannot auger

IMG_6501 (1).jpeg

decay goes
unchallenged
by the photonic
order

IMG_6501.jpeg

a noir network is conceived
fed by death and detritus

IMG_6208 (1).jpeg

mycelium spreads
fractals of hunger
feeding deeply rooted
antediluvian descendants

IMG_6505.jpeg

it's a dark alchemy
turning tarnished ores
to basic elements

IMG_6496.jpeg

the forests
evolves upon
the fragments

of its own
disintegration

Fallen Angel

We Shared the Sky

For a night of many sleeps
with the earth as our pillow
we shared the sky

roots were deep
limbs strong
limbs supple
wings wide
sacred glade fertile

leaves from lips
taken by the wind
dried to dirt
given by the rain
to mud

IMG_6499.jpeg

sacred glade no more
you share only earth

for upon it
there is proof
of your tread

wings do not mark the sky

IMG_6212 (1).jpeg

for a day of many sleeps
with the earth as our pillow
we shared the sky

Time exists only in the mind
Never uttering a sound
Yet naught can escape
Its call to evolve, build, and decay

Nothing is invulnerable to its touch
Yet it passes without a footstep
Leaving its mark on all

Teach without treading upon
Act without bluster
Time will see to the rest
