Some thinkers go beyond the light version of the old myth of Narcissus, like Joachim Gasquet, when they affirm that the world is an immense Narcissus that thinks and contemplates itself.
And it is true: a small fragment of glass or failing that, a small expanse of water is enough to see how the world is involved, suffering from narcissism, even if it is involuntary, to see itself reflected.
