They start to pop like mushrooms after the rain :)
Another cactus opened it's flower today. I saw the bud slowly growing, but I though it will still take a few days. And then this morning this happened:
Lobivia Wrightiana
The flower is so delicate, so pretty. Just one and there is no sign of more buds for now. But it's fine. I am happy I could see it blooming. It is doing it for the first time for me.
The cactus itself shrunk so much over the winter! Would you believe if I told you that last summer it was two times taller? It has a very big and fat tab root that look like parsley where it stores all the water. So it's alive during the winter and very hot months, but the top part shrinks to reduce the surface. Smart beasts :)
