Since we have just passed over into a new month, it was time for me to do a bit of "taking stock" for this account.
As part of that, I went to have a look at the PALNet.io front end which — for the longest time — has just been your basic "Hive Clone" with some minor customization to accommodate the attributes of the PAL Community.
Much to my surprise, PALNet.io has a whole new updated look! You can check it out by clicking here, it's well worth a look!
Welcome to Outposts!
If I understand things correctly, what you're actually looking at is one of the new front ends that comes with "Outposts" feature of Hive.
I really like how this looks and feels as a publishing tool; I say this purely from the perspective of blogging/content creation, I have no idea how this works for community founders.
The new interface feels somewhat like a cross between PeakD and LeoFinance, a very nice "clean" look.
Another bonus is that it is also multiple times FASTER than the old "Hive clone" interface... something that is very welcome, since the old formats could get painfully slow, particularly for manual curation!
PALNet Surprise
Part of why I was a little surprised to find this new look is that PAL changed the community structure quite a bit at the beginning of 2021, de-emphasizing content creation and curation as anything to be rewarded with the PAL token.
And yet? Now we have a slick new front end!
I can only presume that there are other aspects to "Outposts" that warrant making the change.
Regardless, I am very happy to see it!
Aside From That...
Very nice to see Hive take a substantial pop to the upside!
As I write this, Hive seems to have settled in around $0.75 or so, after a quick trip past $1.00 yesterday.
Meanwhile, I am continuing with my strategy from last month, of focusing (still) on PALNet curation, along with more activity and commenting on the Proof Of Brain Community.
Anyway, just another quick status update from this little experiment!
