Man wins lottery for millions of dollars, goes broke, wins again.

I have never been a fan of the lottery nor do I know very many people that play it. The chances of you winning the lottery is astronomical and if it wasn't, there wouldn't be any money in the "pot" for you to win. The game is rigged from the start as it is designed to always be capable and guaranteed of turning a profit which therefore means that the figurative deck is literally stacked against you. People who win the lottery end up declaring bankruptcy at a much faster rate than the general public and this normally happens within 3 to 5 years after winning sometimes hundreds of millions of dollars.

I guess it is because people with financial sense aren't the kind of people that would play the lottery in the first place. Well for one man who had previously won 2.5 million dollars and lost it all, he is just got another chance at it.

nice to see he got all dressed up for the award ceremony

His name is Michael Worsham and back in 2014 he won 2.5 million dollars on a scratch card and then became a statistic and went broke. Ok, not like totally broke but just like most people, he spent all of the money and made some bad investments. Loaned money to friends who never paid it back and basically did everything wrong that all lottery winners make on a regular basis.

There aren't very many success stories in the lottery world and most of the people who have won the lottery actually say that it is one of the worst things that has happened to them.

A man named Jack Whittaker won $315 million and wishes he had torn the ticket up as his windfall resulted in the drug overdose deaths of his daughter and granddaughter. Ouch. I have no idea if he still has money today or not but statistically speaking, it is unlikely that he does. Like I said, the amount of money that is won doesn't really seem to matter, most lottery winners lose it all in 3-5 years.

They say that winning jackpots on lotteries is less likely than being struck by lightning but then again, there are a few people out there that have been struck by lighting more than once as well and I guess that is what has happened with Michael Worsham.

Maybe he learned his lesson from the first time around but I would be willing to bet that this is not the case and he'll just blow it all again. We also need to keep in mind that the government is going to take 40% of it straight away, which is just crazy that they are allowed to do that in my opinion.

Good luck Michael! Statistics are not on your side on this one though!
