A Weekend with the Magnolia Collective in Kortrijk

Hey Hivers!

Over the past years, we have dedicated our lives to bridging the different cultures of Europe and collaborating with some of the continent’s most unique artists across a variety of mediums.
This month we have based ourselves in Kortrijk to forge a deeper connection with the vibrant art scene in the city.
Invited by the incredibly talented and inspirational Magnolia Collective, our group is dedicating the month of October to collaboration and to helping shine an international spotlight on Kortrijk's cultural transformation.

Our first weekend here was filled with art, music, passion, and collaborations. On Saturday we had the weaving houses workshop by Cecile and Lise. Sissos joined us from Berlin. We had an afternoon filled with music by ourselves, Carola & Sissos accompanied by live painting by Moni Celsi and video art by with the Videofenster Project by Sebastian. Sunday we organized a music workshop for kids together with Carola.

The Magnolia collective is a multicultural and international group of women from different disciplines, from scientists to movement and breathing coaches to artists. The collective is using the city's card house as a pilot project to set up a social-artistic effect and to stimulate the neighborhood.
The ladies of the Magnolia collective provide a colorful interpretation of the card house in the Astrid Park. This project shows once again that there is a lot of talent in Kortrijk, that we strive to be a part of. We are happy to support these creatives and help create a new dynamic in the card house and the Astrid Park.
