I decided to go with the same sort
of idea from yesterday, and use those new EDM Attack soundpack instruments, in something dancey, but with an odd-meter. I decided to go a little less 'weird' with the chord placement, so everything just changes at the start or middle of the bar. We're in 7/4 here, so really its on the 1 and 5 of each bar, not the exact middle. Tracks 1 and 2 both outline the basic chord progression, pictured below, which goes from way too quiet in the intro, to much louder in the main sections, so that would need to be edited. Track 3 adds some pads, and Track 4 provides the dancey melody. I actually do like how it feels elongated, having to fit over 7 rather than the usual 4. Track 5 was removed, as it sort of just muddied everything up. Track 6 is just a basic 909 kit, nothing fancy. There's a point toward the end where I added some toms that definitely muddy things too much, and sort of drop other things out, but, I didn't really mix anything so y'know, it happens, hehe. Tracks 7 and 8 add some twinkly background stuff, and finally, we have Track 9, which adds our bass part. I totally forgot about a bass synth, so it got tacked on the end. Overall, not my favorite thing, but I do like the general idea. I need to really spend some time one night working on it, this was one of those half baked, watching Netflix while writing ideas, lol.
