A successful marriage is an edifice that must be rebuilt every day. (Andre Maurois)

Are we really serious when we go to the altar and tell our future spouse that we will be together until death do us part? Not really! Seeing that almost 50% of all marriages end with a divorce, I guess it is built into the concept that we will stay together, it things work out. But, if they don't, then we will just get a divorce and continue our lives apart from one another.

Well, that is the trend - and even though people are in love when they get married, it is still nice to know that you can leave it whenever you feel like, seeing that divorce is always an opportunity.

If people would treat their marriage like a business, then there would be a higher level of success!

If you want to succeed in a business, then you cannot just give up and throw in the towel whenever hardships arise. In fact, every single day you think about how you can make your business more efficient, how you can make it grow, and how it can become better.

How much energy do you think married people are putting into their marriage? How often are you actually working to see it become better, how much energy are you spending at developing it, at growing your relationship with your spouse better?

So many people think a good marriage is a gift that comes to some, while others never receive that gift. Well, let me tell you one thing, that really is a quote from Andre Maurois:

"A successful marriage is an edifice that must be rebuilt every day."

You have to build your marriage and you have to work on it every single day. When you take it for granted, that is when it will start to fall apart. Of course, there is love as a foundation and trust in the other, but if you neglect it and do not give it the necessary attention, then it will sooner or later start to experience trouble.

Just like a car neglected will get trouble, so will you and your spouse.

Take care of yourselves and those surrounding you, and if you are married, take good care of your spouse!
