Reflection, Refraction

Finally the weather was getting better and the lighter evenings getting longer, but unfortunately in the UK we get rain too!

I was going to go for my daily walk this lunchtime but due to the rain stayed in instead. But I used my time to create some more reflective images using a mirror and my Kindle to create the reflection.

I was curious to see the effects of putting my crystal ball on the mirror, but alas it was too big, or the mirror too small, one of the two. But the block the ball sits on, was perfect. These are some of the shots taken on my phone (yes camera phone) using different backgrounds, or overheads, however you want to look at it...

and finally a BTS shot of the simple but effective setup. This is why I used my phone as there's not a lot of space to get underneath..

I hope you like the above article, I picked up the technique after seeing a tutorial of a lightbulb on a mirror with a mobile phone image projected over the top. It's simple and effective, and the reflections if you add drops of water really add to the effect.

Thanks very much for looking
