Ever since getting the news about our bed having a delivery date hubby has been full steam ahead on getting the wall finished. Hubby had to go and buy a few tools to help make the job easier, a good pair of scissors and a saw to finish the skirting board. So far so good.
Now this is done we can concentrate on giving the bedroom a full deep clean then next step the bed then adding all the accessories. I am getting excited about at last having the bedroom I have always wanted instead of putting the girls need first.
I still would have liked a black bed like the one we have to match the wall, our new bed is wood so to get over this I am going to buy a nice Black throw to place over the headboard so it will look good against the wall. Anyway that isn't really a problem having a brand new bedroom with brand new furniture is what I am looking forward to.
Whilst hubby has been busy I have been resting as we have plans to go out tomorrow for a tea for 4 for his mums birthday, we now are having a tea for 5 as my daughter is home and wants to come with us. After the tea we will be taking his mum and her friend food shopping then home so we won't have any time to do anymore work in the bedroom.
Hubby will de doing the glossing one night after work then next weekend we will both get in there and give it a good cleaning. We also have to dismantle the bed and place parts into big plastic bags so when the delivery men arrive then can take the old bed away then assemble our new one. Taking the bed away was going to cost us £70 but with us spending so much and hubby loves to barter when buying, it doesn't usually work thankfully it did this time and we got that service free. Nichola will have to help her dad bag the old bed up as its a heavy bulky bed.
I can't wait for the new mattress, when we were buying the bed we tried so many mattress's after using the digital technology they have, you lie on a bed whilst the bed moves to the way you lie and tells you the ideal bed. I felt supported and my back ache eased considerably. I can't wait for it getting here.
Me and Nichola are now going to have a game of bingo whilst hubby chills out with a beer and his favourite TV programs. We have an early start in the morning, we will all need showers, before getting dressed to go out. I am looking forward to our trip out.
