Time Takes Time

Hello and welcome to this SPinvest post
SPinvest is a tokenized investment fund/club for all users of social blockchains. Everyone is welcome! The concept of SPinvest is to get rich slowly by using time tested methods of earning, saving and compounding long term. This lets SPinvest offer an ROI of 20% per year on SPI tokens. We encourage long term investing on and off the blockchain. We hope someday everyone will HODL some SPI tokens that can be bought directly from @spinvest are through the hive-engine

We live in a world of instant gratification. This is something that is only becoming more common as we delve deeper into the digital world. As things get faster, and more instantaneous, we see people's patience wearing thin.

In short, we want what we want, and we want it now.

Unfortunately, when it comes to financial matters, this is not the case. One of the main characteristics to compounding is time. A solid rate of return over time is what produces results. The longer the period of time, the greater the results (as long as the rate of return is constant).

Hence, time takes time.

We cannot consolidate 5 years into one. This cannot be done. Money growth requires the full 5 years. Sure, this can be offset by a greater return. Hence, a 5x increase in the return will net us the same as in a 5 year period.

However, the full 5 years cannot be short cut. Even the 5x return in the first year still requires 5 years of compounding to grow.

People often look at success stories, wishing they were in early. Of course, the question is whether one would have the patience to stay in.

Probably one of the greatest success stories is Amazon. This went from a $250K loan from Jeff Bezo's parents to one of the most valuable companies in the world. Today, the company is almost able to "print money".

That was not always the case however.

Here is a chart of the net income for Amazon. Not how long one would have to wait for massive profitability.

That is a lot of years waiting under profitability hit. Would you have the stomach to stay in there for near 2 decades before seeing the exponential growth?

We have a similar situation with SPInvest. This entity is not even two years old. Over the first couple years, the returns were spectacular. The holdings of the club grew exponentially. One of the biggest winners was obviously Bitcoin. The last 12 months were very good to this asset. That helped to push SPInvest to even greater heights.

However, we are just getting started. There will be a few airdrops coming up, tied to very exciting projects, that will be claimed based upon SPInvest's present holdings. Here is where we see immediate compounding through project expansion.

What will things look like when SPInvest is 5 years old? Or 10 years? What will each token be worth at that point in time?

If we were to chart SPInvest with Amazon, we would see that we are in 1999. Fortunately, SPInvest operates different so profitability is not a concern. Nevertheless, the point is the same: whatever the financial metrics, it takes time to grow and develop. Just like Amazon took time to get to their exponential growth point, SPInvest will follow a similar pattern.

Ultimately, over time, as assets build up, more opportunities present themselves. This is something that is going to be leverage by the club to generate even greater return. Cryptocurrency is opening the door to so much that outsized returns should be the norm.

Nevertheless, time is still our biggest ally. Bitcoin, as an example, had a great run. It is not over $50,000. That is a nice chunk of change. None of us can predict the future. However, consensus across the industry seems to be that Bitcoin will see much higher levels in the future. Will it be a year from now or 5? Nobody truly know.

Whatever the time period, though, SPInvest will be able to wait for that element to operate to its benefit.

This is how millions are generated. Time plus a rate of return leads to massive growth over decades. We just need to be patient while allowing time to work to our benefit.
