Instability of Capitalism

As a guest at the Chris Hedges show “On Contact”, some three months ago, prof. Richard D. Wolff explained how capitalism breeds inequality. Today he is explaining instability as a feature of capitalism…

Why the people are still living with the system that must be fixed? Because the art of deception develops faster than human consciousness. But as the old Lincoln adage says: “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” The truth is that instability is inherit to capitalism, and that crises come in cycles of 4-7 years. It cannot be solved. If it’s overdue, it’s bigger. If it gets really big, it ends with a global disaster, like a great war. And we had 10 years already since 2008/9…

Why technological advances always go at the expense of workers?

Why the system is not only unjust, but also highly irrational?

Why capitalism cannot exist without government oppression?

First hour of this very spirited and most interesting happening was reserved for the lecture of professor Wolff, and the rest of video are questions and answers.
