BREXIT: Target Practice!

In the last installment of our Brexit Saga, we left Theresa May with the problem how to stop Brexit. It seemed she was ready to do it using Jeremy Corbyn as a battering ram or a scapegoat…

As expected, she was asking Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council, in a letter, for another extension to Article 50 to delay Brexit until June 30, 2019, confirming at the same time that UK is preparing for European elections. What a joy.

Now it is crystal clear that PM Theresa May is actually working to ditch Brexit and put UK again in the straitjacket of EU, all against the will of the UK people. Both leading parties are splitting by the “leavers” and “remainers”, and that split is quickly changing political landscape of the British Island. For example, you can see Tory party opposition to the PM decisions from this short interview with one of the “hard leavers”, Jacob Rees-Mogg:

But that is just the beginning. While she was looking for help from the opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn, this video came up on YouTube:

Isn’t that sweet? British soldiers were filmed at target practice in Kabul, Afghanistan, using a picture of the Labour leader! I wonder what would be the result of these talks, what about you?

In the meantime, House of Commons brought bills against no-deal Brexit and then passed Yvette Cooper’s backbench bill on April 8th, ordering Theresa May to seek a new Brexit extension and pledging to wipe a no deal off the table:

So, what can happen now? The ball is at EU. Tomorrow they will decide if there will be another extension to Article 50, or not. Any normal type of self-esteeming government would reject such proposal, but Brussels bureaucracy is neither normal, nor self-esteeming. They have 39 billion reasons to suffocate independence will of British people, and to set an example to all other nations who dare to leave the Aspiring Empire. On Wednesday EU will have an emergency meeting, and expectedly, allow another extension. What will be the consequences in the UK?

Hard Brexiteers, like Nigel Farage, are preferring extension to a toxic “treaty”, expecting new parliamentary elections and having a PM that would really want Brexit in accordance to the will of the people expressed at the referendum on June 23rd, 2016:

But the best twist could come after the EU Parliamentary elections, where Euroskeptic parties could emerge much stronger — with the angry British Brexiteers in front of them.

Stay tuned, a spectacle is coming!
