The PIZZA token team is excited to formally announce that our Captains are ready for duty and have entered the world of EXODE. A new Aliiance has been born!
For those who don't know, the PIZZA token Discord has become a hub for gamers who love blockchain gaming (among other fun and creative things) to come together and play. You'll find several game channels available and our community guild/clan/team is really starting to make some noise! For example, our Splinterlands guild is one of the fastest growing guilds in the game in our rank!
I would not say I'm hella-versed on this subject matter yet and always, DYOR, but I'm learning quickly. Exode is a HIVE-based blockchain game that has insane browser graphics and real-time gameplay. The game is in late-stage Alpha and has recently launched their planet colonization phase, which is already available for play to some extent. Gamers will create a crew (and actually have individual customization for each crew member) and choose their ship/equipment before sending them into missions, which are real-time gameplay!
As usual, the game is heavily based on NFT mechanics and features a multitude of build possibilities with amazing artwork to boot. The game features an internal market for trading NFTs and has an extensive minting system coming later that will really plunge the game into Play to Earn, making it even more attractive.
I've opened around $160 worth of packs and my account value has already grown to over $1000.
- I'm no mathematician but those are some rock solid gains and we're not even out of Alpha yet!
Getting Started
First, navigate over to Exode Game and click on Get Packs. The Starter pack that allows you to start playing the game is $10. Choose the pilot type that interested you or choose the bundle option that has all three by clicking the Arrow to the right of the word "Starters".
This will give you all of the initial cards you need to get started! Once you've make a decision and have chosen the amount you wish to purchase (change the amount using the - and + buttons at the bottom of the pack) go ahead and click on the 'CONTINUE' button located towards the top-right of the UI.
In the next screen, type the account you wish to send the packs to. This should be your HIVE username (unless you are buying the packs as a gift. If you are buying them as a gift, type the username you wish to send them to). You can also add a referral code if one has not already been generated. If it is blank and you'd like to use mine, type c965b44 then click the 'OK' button at the bottom to proceed!
On the following page, you'll be asked how you'd like to pay. Exode accepts fiat payments via Paypal or of course, HIVE payments via Keychain. If choosing the Keychain option, ensure you have the extension installed and choose the option. Next, you'll enter YOUR HIVE username and click the Keychain button. Accept the transaction, and you're good to go!
It will take a few moments for your pack(s) to arrive. You can view your transaction status using the following link. Just add your username where it says ACCOUNTNAME:
Be patient, I've had packs take a few minutes but they always arrive. In the meantime, click the X or just go back to the Exode Main Page and click on LOGIN at the top. Type in your username and click 'OK'. You will now log into the game!
Here, you'll be able to see any packs you've purchase (if they're already in your inventory) and have the option to open them. The opening system works similar to most and allows you to open multiple at once if you did purchase multiple packs. If you'd like to cruise the market and make additional purchases, click on STARBASE MARKET in the top left. Here you can see what other users have put up for sale from the packs they've opened, or by booster packs third party.

If you've opened your packs and you're ready to start the game, go ahead and click on GAME in the top right followed by 'Access your Colonization Pass'. There are other options in this screen, we'll ignore them for this post. Once you click Colonization Pass, you'll be introduced to the updated version of the game. Accept, and load in by clicking Access Now!
Go ahead and click on My Games. This is where you will be able to start your first EVAC mission and work your way towards claiming the Planet NFT for Alpha testers!
The UI is beautiful and while there are 'some' scaling issues on some resolutions, it's for the most part pretty solid. Once you chose your crew, the game will officially start and you'll enter a full blown browser game experience. You'll be amazed that you're even in a browser!
