Hola amigos de la comunidad de @hivepets, el día de hoy no es tan feliz como los otros. Quiero hacer este post para desahogarme un poco, hablarles e informarles de lo que está pasando Lucy en estos momentos.
Lucy cómo había dicho en un post pasado; está embarazada. Pero de hace un tiempo para acá me di cuenta que ella estaba tomando mucha más agua de lo normal y se lamía mucho su parte íntima, esto no lo veía tan raro porque supuse que tenía algo que ver con el embarazo. Pero hace exactamente 4 días; cargué a Lucy y me manchó mi camisa con algo entre blanco y verde, inmediatamente la revisé y me di cuenta que en su parte íntima estaba botando pus, me alarmé pero pensé que era que en algún momento iba a parir, le pregunté a una amiga que toda la vida a tenido gatos; si era normal que la gata botara pus por ahí y me dijo que no, que es normal que boten como una especial de agua cuando están en celo o cuando ya van a parir pero eso no era normal.

Lucy how she had said in a past post; is pregnant. But some time ago I realized that she was drinking much more water than normal and was licking her intimate part a lot, this did not seem so strange because I assumed it had something to do with the pregnancy. But exactly 4 days ago; I carried Lucy and she stained my shirt with something between white and green, I immediately checked it and realized that in her intimate part she was leaking pus, I was alarmed but I thought it was that at some point she was going to give birth, I asked a friend that all his life he has had cats; If it was normal for the cat to spill pus around there and she said no, that it is normal for them to drop like a special water when they are in heat or when they are about to give birth but that was not normal.
Me sentí muy mal porque tenía la esperanza de que la gata fuese a parir y no otra cosa.
La evalué por 2 días y me di cuenta que estaba botando más pus, así que de inmediato @hienco y yo la llevamos al veterinario y él nos dió una terrible noticia.

Esta imagen es algo fuerte pero se las quiero mostrar para que vean que esto le está sucediendo a mi Lucy. Ahí estaba botando pus, no tenía mucho pero el Doctor nos dijo muchas cosas con respecto a eso.
Lucy tiene Piometra en gatas; esto es una infección del útero o matriz, donde puede existir un cúmulo de cantidades abundantes de pus, de ahí su nombre, pero cuya causa principal es el desbalance hormonal que ocurre en un periodo específico dentro del ciclo sexual de las gatas.
El Doctor nos dijo que eso sucedió fue porque Lucy tuvo un desarrollo precoz, es decir; su primer celo fue cuando tenía 3 meses y medio de edad, esto le afectó y tuvo un desbalance hormonal.
La mejor solución es que operen a la gata y le hagan una ovariohisterectomía, es decir; una extirpación de Ovarios y del útero.
Y con respecto los bebés de Lucy lo más seguro es que no sobrevivan.

Ya aquí íbamos en camino al veterinario, y ella estaba bastante nerviosa.

Me siento muy triste por todo esto, Lucy tendrá que ser operada de emergencia y lo más seguro es que sus gatitos no sobrevivan, aunque yo no pierdo la fe de que tanto Lucy cómo ellos salgan sanos y salvos!
Hago este post para que ustedes ( los que tienen gatas) estén aún más pendientes de ellas. Quiero hacer conciencia de que los gatos y en este caso las gatas por el hecho de que sean "callejeros" no merecen menos atención, al contrario; debemos estar aún más pendientes de ellas, revisarlas, y si es posible llevarla cada cierto tiempo a un veterinario de confianza!. La Piometra no es tan común en gatas pero cuando hay este tipo de casos hay que atenderlos rápidamente. Gracias a Dios pude ver esto a tiempo y así hacer todo cuanto antes para salvarle la vida a Lucy y si es posible a sus gatos.

Pyometra is not so common in cats but when there are these types of cases they must be treated quickly.
