Hello friends pet lovers, this is my participation to the "Stories of our little angels CONTEST" organized by Hive Pets, in honor of those pets that are no longer with us, I am going to tell you about a parrot, his name was Cleo, he passed away 15 years ago, I still remember him very much and since then I have not wanted to have any other pet.

I do not have many pictures of Cleo, because at that time we did not have phones or camera to photograph him, it cost me to collect these few, because a cousin who came from Valencia took them and luckily, I kept them in my computer; When I was 8 years old I was given this parrot, but in my house I did not have a cage where to keep him, so I took him to my grandmother's house, who at that time lived next to our house, she had two more parrots, at first I put Cleo alone, but then I put Lorenza with him.

I loved Cleo very much, every morning before going to school I would bring her bread or arepa and as soon as she saw me she would start singing, I would pour water for her because she liked to bathe a lot; we taught her to say many words because she was very intelligent, she would quickly record them and repeat them, she would call my grandmother's dog and it would heed her call.

Now comes the sad part of this story, because my grandmother got sick and passed away; the parrots looked sad, as if they knew what was happening, they didn't sing, they were in total silence, they didn't even want to eat; one day Lorenza woke up dead and Cleo was even sadder and little by little she was fading away until she died too. I cried a lot for my Cleo and that day I made a promise to myself not to have any other pet, so that I would never have to go through the same thing again.
