The story I am sharing with you happened just two weeks ago, in fact, prior to the tragic event I had already published about a stray cat that I didn't have time to name. She is the protagonist of today's story.
La historia que les comparto sucedió apenas unas dos semanas atrás de hecho previo al evento trágico ya había publicado sobre una gata callejera a la cual no me dio tiempo de ponerle nombre. Ella es la protagonista de la historia de hoy.
I saw this cat on the street, I was near my niece's work when my sister and I noticed three lumps on the chest of the kitten who also looked malnourished. Days went by and the cat got closer and closer, looking for food and affection. Having her closer and calmer, I checked her tumors, the cat did not complain but she was distressed.
Vi esta gata en la calle, estaba cerca del trabajo de mi sobrina cuando mi hermana y yo notamos tres protuberancias en el pecho de la gatita quien además lucía desnutrida. Pasaron días y la gata se fue acercando más, buscaba comida y cariño. Al tenerla más cerca y tranquila, revisé sus tumoraciones, la gata no se quejaba pero si se mostraba afligida.
It was not easy to see the cat with those tumors getting bigger and bigger, for that reason we decided to seek help from a specialist, in the first consultation the veterinarian diagnosed mastitis, thank God it was not cancer. She was prescribed treatment, including antibiotics. Between my sister and I we bought the medicine. The objective was to operate her breasts being smaller and to ligate them, the ligation had a cost of 50$ and we already had a person that would help us with the expenses but first it was the mastitis.
No fue fácil ver a la gata con esos tumores cada vez más grandes por tal motivo decidimos buscar ayuda con una especialista, en la primera consulta la veterinario diagnosticó mastitis, gracias a Dios no era cáncer. Le indicaron tratamiento, entre ellos antibióticos. Entre mi hermana y yo compramos la medicina. El objetivo era operar sus mamas estando más pequeñas y ligarla, la ligadura tenía un costo de 50$ ya teníamos una persona que nos ayudaría con los gastos pero primero era la mastitis.
Everything was going very well with the cat but there was one detail, she had no place to live and no owner to take care of her. Faced with this reality, my sister and I made another decision. One day I would take care of her at home and another day she, my sister, would take care of her at home.
Todo iba muy bien con la gata pero había un detalle, no tenía donde vivir ni dueño o dueña quien lo atendiera. Frente a esa realidad tomamos otra decisión entre mi hermana y yo. Un día la atendía yo en casa y otro día ella, mi hermana.
One detail not taken into account was the following, both my sister and I have a dog. When I had the cat at home she was frightened by my dog, when she went to my sister's house the same thing happened with one big exception, at home she hid in a trunk, at my sister's house she looked for an exit through a window and fell from a fourteenth floor. That was terrible for my sister. The kitten was nowhere to be found, on the third day they notified that she was on the first floor on one of the sides of the building.
Un detalle no tomado en cuenta fue el siguiente, tanto mi hermana como yo tenemos perro. Cuando tuve a la gata en casa se asustó con mi perro, cuando fue a casa de mi hermana sucedió lo mismo con una gran salvedad, en casa se escondió en un maletero, en casa de mi hermana buscó salida por una ventana y cayó desde un piso catorce. Eso fue terrible para mi hermana. La gatita no la hallaba por ninguna parte, al tercer día notifican que se encontraba en planta baja en uno de los laterales del edificio.
It was very sad the fate of the cat, my sister cried a lot, she felt guilty for having taken her home but no one could have imagined that she would be able to take her home.
Fue muy triste el destino de la gata, mi hermana lloró mucho, se sintió culpable por haberla llevado a su casa.
