A beautiful sunny day at the new grow site.

It’s significantly warmer and drier at this new location. Four miles from my house, and 1500+ft lower down the mountain there’s a completely different climate. So many different grow zones on the Big Island. I imagine one could find the perfect climate for just about anything or anyone somewhere here.

The girls are really loving the sun in their temporary little greenhouse. We ordered this one from Amazon while we wait for the big one to arrive by ship.

These ladies are 20 (10 per patient here) Cherry Punch by Symbiotic Genetics. They are two distinctly different phenos we call #1 and….. drumroll….. #2. Eventually they may get their own original names based on the genetic lineage(Cherry Punch = Purple Punch x AK47) and their individual unique characteristics.

We plan to grow these quite large to optimize the larger greenhouse while staying within legal plant numbers.

“Digging” holes for the greenhouse requires a jackhammer here

The solid rock is great for drainage, and it creates a wonderful natural barrier to pests who can’t survive across the hot dry surface. I am also happy to have no habitat for molds or mildew in nearby foliage.

I’ll check back in soon with an update on the greenhouse build and the plants progress. Until then, remember to #growyourown if you can, if not then #knowyourfarmer and always #choosefreedom ✌️
