One year ago today we had our first player sign up and start playing Rising Star.

What a journey it's been for our little game that we started to keep us occupied during the lockdowns.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported the game. Obvious thanks go to @theturtleproject and @nupulse who are not only amazing musicians but also talented artists / graphic designers who create the amazing cards you all love to collect! More importantly however they are two amazing friends!

@foxon & @paleshelter have supported the game through its ups and downs (remember all those duplicate cards that were issued whilst I grappled with blockchain programming!) but they are not the only ones. There are far too many people to mention everyone but if you are playing the game regularly then we thank you for your support!

Lastly (but obviously not least) is my amazing wife Julie who looks after verifying users (and dealing with the constant barrage of people creating multiple accounts and then trying to convince her that they are not!). She also manually curates the Rising Star posts as well as being an amazing soundboard for all the ideas I have and coming up with amazing ideas of her own! Thank you for supporting your crazy husband!

1st Birthday Cake Cards Issued

All the 313 1st Birthday Cake cards that were pre-ordered have now been sent out. Remember to go to the cards page to import them into the game.

If you have not received a card you believed you ordered first please check on chain to make sure you had enough STARBITS to place the order (if you purchased with STARBITS and not HIVE). You can access this from the menu:

If you can see the purchase has gone through but you have not received your card(s) then please leave a post in the support-and-bugs channel in our Discord server.

The Next Year And Beyond

The first year has been a blast and I feel like we are only just getting started! We have so many more ideas and we will soon be releasing more details about our brand new STARPRO token and the features that we will be adding to the game to earn them and use them.
