Exploring City of Senj

Hello once again!
After the beautiful Plitvice Lakes we are headed to the oldest city of the Adriatic Sea, Senj.
History of the City dates back all the way to the 5th century!

Senj lies on the coast of the Adriatic sea, and mostly its the transit city for tourists that travel down south, since there are no tourists it feels empty, but the locals are super chill and nice.

This was the view from my apartment, pretty nice huh?

After entering old town, you can find many old buildings, some are preserved, some are almost in ruins.

This is the Cathedral, it is assumed that it has been built around year 1000., it has been repaired few times throughout history.

And now the highlight of the city! The Nehaj Fortress, this 18 meter high fortress was build in the 16th century, its strategic place meant that only 100 soldiers were needed to defend the whole city!

This is the view from the fortress! Be careful the city is famous for its notorious winds, locals said today was a calm day, but it almost blew my phone away!😅
