¡Hola, Hivers! Hoy les traigo un cambio de mi programación habitual, en vez de traerles mis pinturas y dibujos, les mostraré algunas fotografías que he tomado, el tema de esta sesión es “Flores”. Me gusta considerar este trabajo como otra mezcla entre el arte y la ciencia. Así que me gustaría explicar varios de los conceptos asociados a la flora que más disfruto.
Hello, Hivers! Today I bring you a change in the usual programming instead of posting my paintings and drawings, I will show you some photographs I took, the theme of this session is “Flowers”. I like to think that this work is a mix between art and science. So I would like to explain some ot the concepts that are associated with the flora that I really enjoy.
Floriografía: o lenguaje de las flores, es un medio de comunicación que empezó en la época victoriana, se utiliza para enviar mensajes codificados. Cada flor tiene un significado distint*.
Floriography: or language of the flowers, is a mean of communication that started in the victorian era, is used to send encrypted messages. Each flower have a different meaning.
Botánica: ciencia natural que estudia la vegetación, se dividen en varios reinos: plantae, fungi, protoctista y monera. La botánica contiene en el estudio de los organismos como ente independiente, y también el rol que estos organismos cumple esta en el ambiente.
Botany: natural science that studies the vegetation, it’s divided in various realms: plantae, fungi, protoctist and morena. The botany contains the study of the organism as an independent being, and also the rol this organism play in the environment.
Floricultura: es el arte y la técnica de cultivar flores, principalmente para el uso decorativo y de ornamentas.
Floriculture: is the art and the technique of cultivating flowers, mainly for decorative use or as ornaments.
Herbología: o herborismo, es el estudio de las propiedades de las plantas para la aplicación de las plantas como uso medicinal.
Herbology: or herbalism, is the study of the properties of the plants for the application for it’s medical use.
Inflorescencia: es el conjunto de flores que crecen en un mismo tallo.
Inflorescence: is the set of flowers that grow in the same stem.
