A Tale of Cherry Blossom, Canada Geese and Squirrels

On my daily walk, it was good to see the wild garlic coming through. In a couple of weeks, it should be very pungent. I don't like the smell of garlic in food, but wild garlic is quite aromatic.

It's finally getting a little warmer, and we've had some lovely blue skies that always cheer people up. I'm not convinced the bad weather is behind us, though.

Why do these trees remind me of a herd of elephants?

The Canada geese were having a bit of a preen. It was nice to see them in the water as they are usually on the grassy area. I always think they're much safer in the water.

I've noticed there's quite a few batches of cowslips about. You do tend to get an abundance of certain flowers or plants every year. Last year, we had lots of dandelions. It won't be long before the bluebells arrive.

This is the month the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom. It's a shame the blossom doesn't stick around for too long. If we have a windy day, it's all gone.

Always, good to see the cheeky squirrels out and about. Some people don't like them but I think they're quite sweet.
