Turin - Sea of clouds

Turin, january 2023.

Foggy day, typical of this big town, placed in a plain below Alps.

When I woke up under clouds, I recognized presence of low clouds, with the sun shining on the top of some hills, so I went to Europa Park (Cavoretto), very near to the city, but high enough to stay above clouds.

Here a famous Piemonte Region skyscrape. Someone call it an ecomonster, and I think the same. It is defined eco friendly, but I don't believe in this "green" trend, in my opinion is only a way to stole money to people, changing their habits and making them poorer. Yes, global temperature is increasing, as pollution in the same way, but in many cases we refer to "green" only to wash our dirty consciousness. Green or not, our capitalistic world never been truly sustainable.

Anyway, World Green Building Council has given to this building an award to be one of the most higher building with high standards of eco-sustainability.

Here the point of view I prefer, only woods and mountains, lost in the fog:

Faraway, the huge Monviso. The name "Monviso" come from Latin "Mons Vesulus", which means "clearly visible mountain", because of it is well recognizable from many distant places, due to its height (3.841 meters high).

Here San Pietro in Vincoli church, which recalls the liberation of St. Peter by an Angel at the time of his first imprisonment:

Fog was like a breathe of God, or an oceanic wave:
