Taj Mahal - India

Hello to all!

In 2019 I visited Rajasthan region of India, during Holi festival.
We went also to Agra to watch Taj Mahal. As you know, this is one of the most famous monument in the world. 'Taj Mahal' means 'Crown Palace' and it is the marble mausoleum built for Mumtaz Mahal, the wife of Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal emperor.
It has been built in 17th century and it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site, considered the jewel of Muslim art in India.

I was impressed by its bright and white marble walls, which contrasted with the brown flooring.

This is how it appears from main entry. The amount of people is very impressive: many tourists from every part of the world, most of them from India.

In front of Tay Mahal there is a very long fountain, a joy for every photographer!

Approcching the mausoleum, I have tried to shoot some different pictures with the reflex of people and structure on the water:

Tay Mahal is even more huge getting closer to it:

I like to take pictures of people using the marble cathedral as background:

Here we were in the main square. You should take off shoes to enter:

On both side of main square, a secondary structure with a huge door, and a small puddles, have captured my attention:

I passed a lot of time waiting people passing around, I liked very much light and contrast:

Here a girl posing. Beautiful contrast between the lightness of scarf and the prominence of marble palace:

It is a masterpiece of art and history, and also the light was perfect for a photographic shooting. Here a couple, they seemed actors!

Thanks to reading!
I hope you like this tour through my images around one of the wonders of the world!
