This is a small old village around Semese castle, in Verica, Pavullo nel Frignano (Italy).
I did some pictures for a photo contest about the 19 small historical town and landscape inside my city municipality (Pavullo nel Frignano), and I discovered also many places near my home I had never seen.
Here the tower of Semese Castle. It was built in thirteenth century and was erected on a pre-existing Lombard watchtower. It owned to Da Verica family and later passed to the Montecuccoli family, and it is placed on the hill above Verica village, for a defensive porpouse:
