Here we are, talking about music, Woda Woda from Italy, Turin.
As i said when i first started this project my aim was to write a book about the Italian music market.
The reason? I found it very difficult, actually it's filled up with "local-mafia" nepotism etc.. and of course "musicians", real ones, have no access to the mainstream.

But the INDIE scene is full of talented bands, singers and songwriters. One of the bands i love the most is "Woda Woda", named after a song from LiTFiBa great band from the 90s.
The name of the band comes from the hypothetical telex address of the rehearsal room used by the band since the beginning, located in Florence in via de 'Bardi at number 32: "L" (prefix), "IT" (Italy), "FI" (Florence), "BA" (via de 'Bardi).
Woda Woda literally emerged on the Northern Italian scene as a tribute-band to LiTFiBa, right after, they moved on the national scene thanks to the competition SanRemoRock.
At this point, unfortunately, the band had a "tough" period...
but the leader and founder did not give up, he meticulously looked for other musicians to form a new version of Woda Woda.
Massimo Montecucco, leader of Woda Woda and singer decided to "turn-over" the band.
He met Alessio Lanza, virtuoso of guitar with a pinch of "egotistic" personality, very creative and curious. Alessio brought to the band a new look and a complete new sound, not as much for his knowledge in music - despite being a genius, musically speaking - but also for his amazing "creativity" and he is as brave as a Scottish soldier, no fear at all, and when he grabs his guitar he turns into a "monster of Rock".
Alessio "Alex" Lanza: guitar
Massimo obviously was curious to have my opinion about the new band and i asked him to send the new production... well "IT ROCKS"!
Enrico “Enry” Masini: guitar
Compact sound, the bass-guitar is not as present as i like, but is worth to leave it slightly behind to open space to the guitars.
Alessandro "Ansel" D'Angelo: bass-guitar
Bright and steady, the guitar's sound is wildly "distorted" and this time the work is created on low pitches and I simply fell in love with it... just insane... just insane.. can i say "mental"
Andrea "Andy" Mazza: Drums
Perfectly in tune the voice, heavy, suffered, crunched-up by life invades your headphones and takes you to another universe.
I always considered music a part of spirit, I'm convinced that music is an important part of our soul. Musicians, singers are a vehicle to donate these pieces of soul to the world...is like being in a little corner of paradise built exactly for you.
Woda Woda presents now their first single.. they signed a contract of exclusivity with an INDIE Italian Label and now they are running free on the high-way to "hell" well... isn't what "warriors" do?
Woda Woda are warriors.
The video is outstanding, it is really well done, it video keeps the "flow" and the song vibrates to a perfect "tension" almost at the breaking point to explode as fireworks in a crystal clear night...(you feel me) so dear Woda Woda.. let me tell you "at the top of my lungs" i really like the new band....
Enjoy it...
