¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo mi clásica reseña musical de todas las semanas, tenía una semana sin hacerla por muchos compromisos con mi canal de @threespeak, pero acá estamos de nuevo.
La temática de hoy me encanta porque siento que la música laitna ha agarrado demasiada presencia internacional y por eso decidí hacer un top de música del género Latin Pop, es decir, la música pop que contiene elementos de nuestra música latina y se han vuelto unos hits mundiales.
Así que, sin más que agregar, ¡comencemos!
Welcome back to my blog, guys! Today I bring you my classic music review every week, I had a week without doing it due to many commitments with my channel @threespeak, but here we are again.
I love today's theme because I feel that Latin music has gained too much international presence and that's why I decided to make a top of Latin Pop music, that is, pop music that contains elements of our Latin music and have become worldwide hits.
So, without further ado, let's get started!
1.- Camila Cabello - Don't Go Yet
Esta, por demasía, es la mejor canción de mi top y podría colocarla 4 veces más en este post, pues simplemente es una GENIALIDAD absoluta de la cantante cubana conocida como Camila Cabello; esta canción tiene un gran sabor latino dentro, pueden sentir la vibra latina al máximo en el estribillo, pues siento que puede recordarnos inclusive a las fiestas en Brasil en los carnavales, inclusive mi amorcito @dimeshana me dijo que le recuerda mucho a la película Río.
Además, me encanta como Camila Cabello en el vídeo muestra una representación de lo que es una familia latina, personas locas, extravagantes, comiendo todos y haciendo un desastre bailando, con ropa alocada, siempre disfrutando muchísimo todos, con mucho cariño y calor, además, la letra representa también dicho calor con la frase «Don't Go Yet» (No Te Vayas Aún) porque es una frase que —al menos en las familias venezolanas— siempre se dice en las visitas familiares, porque unno siempre quiere que se queden; a nivel conceptual me parece una genialidad total y siento que querrán darle como 200 reproducciones a este tema.
This, by far, is the best song of my top and I could place it 4 more times in this post, because it is simply an absolute GENIUS of the Cuban singer known as Camila Cabello; this song has a great Latin flavor inside, you can feel the Latin vibe to the maximum in the chorus, because I feel that it can remind us even to the parties in Brazil in the carnivals, even my love @dimeshana told me that it reminds her a lot to the movie Rio.
Also, I love how Camila Cabello in the video shows a representation of what a Latin family is, crazy, extravagant people, eating all and making a mess dancing, with crazy clothes, always enjoying a lot everyone, with a lot of love and warmth, besides, the lyrics also represent this warmth with the phrase "Don't Go Yet" because it is a phrase that -at least in Venezuelan families- is always said during family visits, because you don't always want them to stay; on a conceptual level I think it's a total genius and I feel that they will want to give this song about 200 plays.
2.- Camilo & Shawn Mendes - KESI (Remix)
Todos sabemos ese gran lado tropical que tiene el artista colombiano conocido como Camilo; esta canción había sido estrenada por él hace unas semanas, sin embargo, salió este remix en el cuál tuvo una colaboración bastante especial e inesperada de Shawn Mendes, un artista canadiense al cuál, personalmente, nunca lo había escuchado cantando en español.
Es gracioso que mi amiga @arlettemsalase me dijo que la voz de Shawn Mendes cantando es español es muy parecida a la mía, me puse a escuchar con detenimiento y es verdad, me dió demasiada risa por eso pero a su vez disfruté demasiado este remix, siento que este tipo de colaboraciones son épicas porque ayudan a que la música traspase fronteras y ya no existan barreras de idioma.
We all know that great tropical side that has the Colombian artist known as Camilo; this song had been released by him a few weeks ago, however, came out this remix in which he had a very special and unexpected collaboration of Shawn Mendes, a Canadian artist who, personally, I had never heard him singing in Spanish.
It's funny that my friend @arlettemsalase told me that the voice of Shawn Mendes singing in Spanish is very similar to mine, I started to listen carefully and it's true, it gave me too much laughter for that but in turn I enjoyed too much this remix, I feel that such collaborations are epic because they help music to transcend borders and there are no language barriers.
3.- J. Balvin & Skrillex - In Da Getto
Skrillex es un DJ estadounidense que siempre fue conocido por hacer música con patrones de sonido muy repetitivos y podría decirse que «pertubadores» o «aturdidores», pero cuando empezó a colaborar con muchos artistas y a incluir los elementos latinos en sus canciones, escaló un par de niveles, ahora, en esta colaboración con el artista colombiano J Balvin saca a relucir su mejor estilo latino y urbano para hacer una genialidad.
Esta canción tiene todo para sonar en una fiesta latina y ser el soundtrack de una fiesta por todo lo alto; se puede reconocer demasiado que la pista de fondo es obra de Skrillex por detalles como la sirena de policía que se escucha al final del estribillo en la primera vuelta para repetirlo de nuevo y cosas así, son detalles mínimos pero uno que conoce la trayectoria de los artistas ya reconoce esos detalles.
Skrillex is an American DJ who was always known for making music with very repetitive and arguably "disturbing" or "stunning" sound patterns, but when he began to collaborate with many artists and to include Latin elements in his songs, he climbed a couple of levels, now, in this collaboration with Colombian artist J Balvin he brings out his best Latin and urban style to make a genius.
This song has everything to sound at a Latin party and be the soundtrack of a party in style; you can recognize too much that the backing track is the work of Skrillex by details such as the police siren that is heard at the end of the chorus in the first lap to repeat it again and things like that, are minimal details but one who knows the trajectory of the artists already recognizes these details.
Bonus Track - Super Junior ft Reik - One More Time (Otra Vez)
¿Alguna vez han escuchado una canción de pop latino en 3 idiomas? Pues, acá les tengo de un grupo de K-pop conocido como Super Junior que se atrevió a hacer música con elementos latinos al realizar una colaboración con la banda mexicana conocida como Reik; cuando le das click al botón de play a esta canción, sientes que estás escuchando artistas como Luis Fonsi, hasta que escuchas las primeras líneas en Koreano.
Luego, cuando llegamos al estribillo, entra Reik y pone a esos koreanos a cantar en español y es súper épico el cómo se complementan sus voces, creando una armonía interesante de voces.
Have you ever heard a Latin pop song in 3 languages? Well, here I have for you from a K-pop group known as Super Junior who dared to make music with Latin elements by doing a collaboration with the Mexican band known as Reik; when you click the play button on this song, you feel like you are listening to artists like Luis Fonsi, until you hear the first lines in Korean.
Then, when we get to the chorus, Reik enters and gets those Koreans to sing in Spanish and it's super epic how their voices complement each other, creating an interesting harmony of voices.
