En esta oportunidad les presento un bello merengue oriental del compositor Luis Mariano Rivera titulado Canchunchú florido. El maestro Luis Mariano nació un 19 de Agosto de 1906 en esta bonita población que está cercana a Carúpano, estado Sucre em el Oriente venezolano y a la cual le dedicó esta canción, pero fue después de 38 años porque Luis Mariano aprendió a leer y escribir cuando tenía esa edad ya que era un campesino humilde y trabajador. Compuso muchas canciones de una profundidad poética inigualable como lo expresa el fragmento del poema de esta hermosa canción que les coloqué al principio. Sus canciones son conocidas gracias al cantor de la voz del pueblo como es conocido Gualberto Ibarreto "El pichón", como por ejemplo Cerecita, El Mango, Cundeamor, Carúpano Tierra Mía, La Guacara, Mi Comay uana María.
El 15 de Abril fue declarado Patrimonio Cultural del Estado Sucre. Falleció a los 95 años el 15 de Marzo de 2002 dejando un bello legado de canciones.
