Hola a todos. El día de hoy vengo a interpretar para ustedes uno de los valses más hermosos para guitarra del compositor venezolano Antonio Lauro, El Negrito. Composición dedicada en honor a su hijo, a quién le guardaba un gran afecto y se refería a él de este modo con cariño.
El maestro Lauro fue uno de los grandes compositores para guitarra del siglo XX. Sus obras se encuentran dentro de los repertorios de todos los grandes guitarristas al rededor del mundo. Conocido como el Strauss de la guitarra, por ser el vals el género de su preferencia.

Hello everybody. Today I come to interpret for you one of the most beautiful waltzes for guitar by the Venezuelan composer Antonio Lauro, El Negrito. Composition dedicated in honor of his son, to whom he had a great affection and referred to him in this way with love.
Maestro Lauro was one of the great guitar composers of the 20th century. His works are found in the repertoires of all the great guitarists around the world. Known as the Strauss of the guitar, for being the waltz the genre of his preference.
Me llevó un poco de tiempo lograr una interpretación más o menos decente de esta pieza, algo que se acercara tanto al cariño que evoca su compositor hacia su hijo y, al mismo tiempo, la calidad dancística de la canción.
Se compone de dos secciones: La primera de ellas se trata de una melodía gentil acompañada de notas arpegiadas y un bajo descendente. La dulzura y el estilo, que hace sonar a la guitarra como si fuera un arpa, hacen de esta sección similar a una canción de cuna.
It took me a little time to achieve a more or less decent interpretation of this piece, something that would be close to the affection that the composer evokes towards his son and, at the same time, the dance quality of the song.
It consists of two sections: The first is a gentle melody accompanied by arpeggiated notes and a descending bass. The sweetness and the style, which makes the guitar sound as if it were a harp, make this section similar to a lullaby.
La segunda es más apasionada y es como un pregunta-respuesta entre la melodía y el acompañamiento. El bajo es mucho más dinámico y cromático. Es mi parte favorita.
The second is more passionate and is like a question-answer between the melody and the accompaniment. The bass is much more dynamic and chromatic. It is my favorite part.
La primera sección se hace una vez más, concediéndole una estructura de forma A-B-A. Originalmente, cuando se toca la primera sección por segunda vez no se repite. Pero yo no pude evitar hacerlo jeje
