My Actifit Report Card: Snow in March 2023

Hi Everyone,

It is Spring and it snowed. The snow piled up pretty thick as well. Thursday morning it was raining. In the afternoon, it was a little colder and the rain turned to sleet. Early evening, the sleet became snow. It started to settle on the ground and began to build up as the temperature slipped below zero. I took a photograph from my front door before bed.

During the night it continued to snow. The sub zero temperatures stopped it from melting. When I woke up the next day. The ground and most other things outside were covered in snow. When it snows, I make it a point to take some photographs. I didn't see snow for years when I lived in Singapore and then Quuensland, Australia. This is the first time, I have seen snow in the Spring. It does look different because of more sunlight and the positioning of the sun. As the snow was thick it didn't melt immediately in the sun. Below are some of the photographs I took.

I took plenty of pictures of Hamlet the Happy Pig and Lily Goat. Hamlet avoided the snow until it was time to eat. Lily went out in it more but seemed quite amazed at it. She stood in the same spot for about 30 minutes as if she was frozen. That is unusual for Lily as she is always on the move. She sleeps and rests far less than Hamlet. The snow lasted most of Friday. There was some left on Saturday but the rain melted it away in the afternoon. Next week, it is expected to be cold. It is unlikely to snow again.

My Content

I only posted once since my previous Actifit Report and Update. This was a mega 5,000+ word post with over 30 figures and diagrams. The type of post I did not expect to be writing too many more of at the moment. I intended it to be much shorter but the amount of relevant information that I found was overwhelming. I felt I had to share most of it.

Fix_Health_Thumb.jpg

The post was about health and healthcare systems. Since the Covid-19 fiasco, quality of health in most countries has declined and for some quite significantly. Excess deaths continue to increase, number of people with long-term chronic disease continues to increase, and the number of people missing work because of illness continues to increase. Healthcare systems are struggling as the patients increase and so does the waiting times for any form of medical intervention.

The health crisis did not begin with the response to Covid-19. People's health have been in decline in many areas and in many countries for a long time. Governments and pharmaceutical companies control healthcare in most or even all developed countries in the world. Healthcare decisions are made based on profitability, which can be ensured by Governments who are the main customers for pharmaceutical companies' products.

The post discusses how free markets and decentralised health funds can help provide superior health services compared to what we have now.

That wraps up this week's Actifit Report and Update. I hope everyone is having a great weekend and have a superb and active week. I hope the weather holds up well for you.
