Hi Actifitters,
I hope everyone had a good week and September. Many people in crypto are happy to see October as September has been bad for crypto prices over the past few years. This year wasn't too bad. Bitcoin fell a little but basically recovered in just one day in October. Hive was actually slightly up. Splinterlands has played a big role in the positive price movement. It has been ranked the top Dapp across all blockchains for a few days. I expect that to continue and I expect other Hive Dapps to capture a few of those new users as well. I think this will be a good fourth quarter for Hive.
I've had a busy week. I completed 2 Hive posts and I have remained physically active around the house and garden. I finished waterproofing the roof of the goat shed. I also added some hay bails to make it more comfy. It was difficult carrying them up the hill. Yesterday, I kept it simple. I walked Mango the dog a few times and I grabbed a few groceries.
My Content
Since my previous Actifit Report, I have written 2 posts. The first post was the results post and video for the Buying and Selling Game. Participation was a little disappointing with just one participant. At least that participant won by making a profit. The next contest will be later this month.
In the second post, I discussed learning and teaching philosophy. I believe too much of education revolves around learning rigid predetermined syllabi. Learning is focused on maximising examination results rather than fully grasping the content. In my post, I discuss building a course that focuses on knowledge and skills that enable people to be able to learn and educate themselves in any areas they desire. The course includes 3 building blocks described as foundations for building a good education. They are:
- communication
- interpretation of our environment
- discovery and exploration
I briefly discuss assessments based on answering scenario questions rather attending examinations.
That wraps up this Actifit Report. I will be turning my attention back to Covid-19 in my upcoming posts. I still need to share some photos of my new place as well. I wish everyone a great weekend.
