I hope everyone had a great weekend. I managed a reasonably active week and weekend. I mowed the lawn on Thursday and I went to the lake to make 2 videos on Friday and I walked my dog Mango on both Saturday and Sunday. I only managed over 10,000 counts on one day.
On the other days, I achieved between 5,000 and 10,000 counts.
I have been keeping an eye on the cryptocurrency markets again. Amazingly, Hive is still following a remarkably similar price movement to Steem from 2017. The only difference is the price movements of Hive are about 3 months ahead of Steem from 2017. I believe the similarities are mostly coincidental but still very interesting. I am expecting Hive to break away from the 2017 Steem trend with a more positive price movement. I am expecting Hive to exceed US$1 at some point in May.

Since my previous Actifit Report and Update, I have posted twice. Both videos this time. In my first post, I announced the results of my Buying and Selling Game. I was quite pleased with the turnout with 7 people entering. This is one of the highest turnouts so far. Maybe the higher price is attracting more participants or maybe people are spreading a positive word about the game. This contest's winner (@jdike) managed to predict the optimal buying and selling strategy to win an additional 5 Hive.
My other post contained a video of me down by the lake explaining why I choose to bring my economics expertise to Hive. On graduating, economists have a few career choices. For example, work for the Government or the private sector, run a business/consultancy, or become an academic (lecturer, tutor, and/or researcher). Hive offers an alternative form of income where an economist can openly express themselves. For most people, it should be considered as just supplementary income but overtime as Hive grows, it could become a fulltime home for economists and other professionals and experts with knowledge to share.
That brings me to the end of this Actifit Report and Update. In a couple of days time, I will post my second video from down by the lake. In the second video, I discuss my work and projects as an economist over my career. So visit my channel soon to catch that video.
