My Actifit Report Card and Photowalking: October 18 2020

Hi Actifitters,

Yesterday was a very pleasant Autumn day. I took advantage of the decent weather to go down to the lake with Mango the dog to take some photographs. Autumn is a good time of year to take photographs of nature as everything is so colourful. As it is heading into late Autumn, the sun is lower in the sky, which adds to the effect.

I took my normal route down to the lake. It seemed fairly quiet. Not many people or the usual swan family I see. I went under the bridge and up the other side to the second lake. From here, I could see the swan family in the distance.

The family has only one cygnet left. I hope this one can make it to adulthood. I continued along by the second lake. I reached the far side of the lake where I saw the big cows and bull. These animals are huge.

I managed to see the big bull up close. He stared back at me and moved his way towards us. I had to pull Mango back as he gets excited when he sees other animals.

After visiting the cows and bull, we headed back towards the first lake. This time we were on the other side near the houses.

This is the side of the lake where the other swan family live. I rarely see them, as I don't normally walk this far. This time they were around.

This family has done well and have not lost any of their cygnets. It is strange that one family is doing so much better. Maybe it's the water or maybe there are foxes on the other side of the lake.

There were far more people on this side of the lake. The swans didn't like them getting too near them. This is especially true for people with lively dogs. I kept Mango quite far from the edge.

After taking the photographs of the swans, we started to head back home. On the way back we passed the new Leisure Centre which is due to open in a few weeks, if Covid-19 restrictions permit.

It looks big. I could see a really long row of treadmills lined up looking out the window. I have lived in the area for over 1 1/2 years. They have been building the Leisure Centre from before I arrived. The lockdowns would have slowed things down. When it is fully running, I will have to visit.

This pretty much brings us to the end of our lake walk. Before we headed home, I took some photographs of the Autumn trees. It won't be long before the trees will be bare. The longer summer meant they kept the leaves a bit longer this year. I am concerned that with cold weather arriving soon, we will have ice and fallen leaves together, which is a very slippery combination.

Altogether I've had a pretty active week. I managed over 10,000 counts on four different days. That is a first for me this year. My total was also my second highest for a single week for this year. That is something to feel good about.

My Content

Besides going for walks, I managed to post a couple of times. This month's Buying and Selling game is up and running. This time we are selling and buying candies on different planets.

I also posted Part 2 of my Blockchain Government series. Part 2 gets into much more of the detail than Part 1. The post explains how the blockchain can be used as a key decision-making tool for running a country or state. The post also explains how the Blockchain Government could successful create a form of democracy that actually works.

That brings me to the end of this Actifit Report Special. I hope you enjoyed the photographs I've shared. With that, I wish everyone a great week ahead.
