We just started today’s hike, and
we passed Mike working on the Yurt.
“The wood carvings on the door look nice Mike !”☺️
He just finished setting up the new composting toilet.
It’s interesting how it separates the solids from the liquids. It also has an electric fan to circulate air, speeding up the decomposition. They are thinking that it will need to be emptied about every four weeks.
If anyone reading this post has any prior experience with these toilets, I would be interested to hear how often they have to be emptied.😳
Inside the Yurt they set up convention heaters. You can see one in the photo, it is to the right of the chair, It blends in nicely!😊

What a change in the weather, the rain stopped last night, an I was surprised how warm it was today!
Look at the photo of the valley taken from the “High Trail”.
Off in the distance to the right you can see the salt water Bay, the Pacific Ocean, shimmering!😊
The wind was intensifying, but still no rain in sight…….
We are almost at peak Fall color, a beautiful day to be deep in the Mountains, getting healthier………🤗
