This weekend we had a cabin get-away with some friends. It was so much fun. The weather was amazing. And although we packed the weekend with walks, hikes, cooking, and kayaking, there was plenty of time for relaxing by the lake.
The reflection of the trees in the water was fantastic. And of course it varied by time of day and weather, which was constantly shifting.
I took this picturesque photo of one of the dogs.
We took some really nice walks to enjoy the fall colors.
One of my favorite outings of the weekend was a kayaking trip I took with one of my friends. We had seen some otters playing in the water and wanted to see if we could get closer, but of course they wouldn’t let us anywhere near them. But we had a very nice hour or so out on the water.
We also took a hike at some stunning waterfalls.
And we had a fun little snack picnic after our hike.
My last few pictures are from the drive home. We drove through some gorgeous countryside and I took pictures of several farms and barns as we passed by. For the last one you will see my “funky edit” in honor of #sublimesunday.
