Do you believe in the harmful effects of an "evil eye"? | Alive & Thriving on Monday | 909th actifit report

Hello, again! Assalamu Alaikum! How are you? I hope that you are doing well. I am also doing well, Alhamdulillah. Here is the Alive and Thriving report for today (Monday). It is also actifit report number 909!

Today morning, in between my morning shift duty, we went to the police headquarters to renew my wife's residence card. We went with the PRO of our company. The office was quite far from our place. It was about a 20-minute drive with over a 100 kmph speed. My son enjoyed the journey most :). Alhamdulillah, the procedure was finished without any troubles. We returned, and I resumed my duty.

On Monday morning, one Bangladeshi patient came with some vesicular rashes on his right upper limb. He was also having severe pain. Interestingly, he thought that his current condition was due to the "evil eye" of someone envious of his work. He did some work before his illness and the employer praised him for the work he did. Coincidentally his current illness started afterwards. Hence, he thought that it was due to the evil eye. Actually, he was having a disease condition called herpes zoster. It is caused due to activation of dormant chickenpox viruses.

Anyway, do you believe the effects of an "evil eye"?

Another man came from a far distance; around 80 km away. He was having pain in his right heel, sole and ankle joint. It was more likely a case of plantar fasciitis. However, the interesting matter was he saw a dream last night. In his dream he found out that he came to me, I gave him injections and he immediately got relief from his pain. So, he, without any delay, leaving his work, came to me believing that he will get relief from my management.

I gave him the necessary injections. Hope that it will cure him 🙂

In the evening, a 13-year-old boy, angry bird, came for a follow-up visit. He came yesterday with the features of common cold and fever. I gave him paracetamol and two other medicines. Today he returned with an angry face 🤬 😠 because his fever didn't subside. He was indeed having a fever. I reviewed his medication and on enquiry found that he didn't eat paracetamol according to my prescription. So, it was my turn to be angry with him! I asked him to do a blood test. He, along with his attendance, agreed and did the test. Then I added a few more medicines. I emphasised him to take the medicines according to the prescription.

On Monday I consulted a total of 20 patients!

There were clouds in the sky the whole day. There was even a forecast for heavy rain in my place of living. But the rain didn't come!
