Short update on my Heysen Trail journey from the Actifit app
I've had a few setbacks along the way these last few days, but things are looking up now. Covered a decent amount of ground in the last two days — 49 kilometres — from Burra to World's End Reserve, then on to Robertstown, where I'm writing from now
Watched a small thunderstorm roll past my camp about 2 AM last night - the lightning show woke me up
Only a few minutes of light drizzle reached me
Spectacular
I'm running pretty far behind with the blogging to be honest, hence the jump to (walking) day 8 today
Proper updates in the pipeline...
Working on them when I can, but the actual walking has to take priority
I'm in an area with no phone signal too, at the moment, which makes things tricky
I'm using the Wi-Fi at the Last Stop Op Shop Café in Robertstown to send this post
It only opened yesterday, would you believe? Talk about good timing
I must express my gratitude to the owner Joanne for her hospitality and generosity
Thank you
Signing off for now
Here's some photos from (walking) day 8
That last one is a huge hill I climbed up at World's End Reserve yesterday at dusk, trying to get some phone signal...
Didn't work 😆
