Three pillars of Bangladesh

Bangladesh is one of the most important countries in the South Asia at least in terms of export of readymade garments. The GDP growth of Bangladesh is about 6% which is is a key indicator of the growth of the country. Many country is trying to follow Bangladesh as a model of growth at least the countries who are are similar or below the level of Bangladesh in terms of economy. The economy of a country of really depends on some pillars.

If I just mention about the pillar of Bangladesh I can find three strong pillar on which the economy of Bangladesh is standing strong. First pillar is the readymade garments and Bangladesh is in third position in and Bangladesh is in third position in the world in terms of export of readymade garments. The second pillar is the huge number of people of Bangladesh who are working outside Bangladesh for remittance. And the third one is the the advancement in the agriculture sector. In this post I want to talk about the first pillar that is the readymade garments and export sector.

Couple of days back we had any news in the TV channel that after export if you cartoons had lack of number of items. This was one kind of theft which was done by Transport authority involved in the export process. Such kind of issues is a matter of image in the foreign countries of Bangladesh in terms of export. Who were the citizens of Bangladesh don't think about the reputation rather we are thinking about our personal benefit for having some dollars. This is a huge sector and on these sector the country is standing this is the main pillar of the country and the main source of foreign remittance as well. We need to show sympathy as much as possible to this sector because this sector is the the main main sector of the country.

In recent times we can see couple of news regarding the opening of textile and garments sectors on 1st of August although the transportation is closest. In this situation it is very difficult for the employees of the textile and garments sectors to come to their job location from the remote areas of the country. We had the experience of of some bitter situation where people are coming with lot of crowd with the help of truck and many other means. This kind of situation is not accepted as it is is alarming for the covid-19 spreading. We need to take some steps so that we can run the sector as well as can save the environment of the employees and free Off movement for them so that they can come to the office be easily and can contribute to the economy by their work if we would like to continue working in this lockdown situation from this sector.

I am part of the textile sector as I am student of textile engineering. personally hope that the government will take some initiative so that the employees of textile sector will able to work from their office with safety and they will have the opportunity to come to the office very easily with the help of public transport by maintaining obviously the social distance. In this covid-19 situation the Government of Bangladesh has taken a lot of initiative for the sector development and incentive package has been provided to those actors who are involved in export specially the rmg and textile sector. Such kind of initiative of the government is very much appreciated because if this sector runs well then hopefully the country's economy will be good. With the same time another initiative was taken by the government to run the agricultural activities even in this pandemic situation that was another good decision by the government I must say because agriculture should be in good state for the sustainability of any country. Thank you very much for stopping by
