During Holy Week 2018, which we call tourism week in Uruguay, we went on a trip to Mercedes, the capital of the department of Soriano, in the center of the country. Together with Matias and Bruno ( @dontstopmenow ) we traveled several country roads and secondary roads that get lost among the rolling hills of endless green meadows, our country besides being very small compared to the countries of South America has very few habitants, just a little more than 3, 5 million of which half of them live in Montevideo, the capital city and the rest mostly live on the coast and the coastline of the Uruguay River, so when you travel through the center of the country you can expect to see a lot of nature and few towns, a lot of cattle and plantations, a lot of sky and clear distant horizons. So it was that in one of these secundary roads we found this bus abandoned in the middle of a field, we could not understand well how it got there or why someone left it in the middle of nowhere, most likely it was very old even when it was in activity and it must have broken down not far from this field, being a waste to call a tow truck or try to repair it, otherwise we don't understand it, I just know that we saw it as something special that made us stop and inspect it, play a little bit maybe, it's not everyday you find one of these in the middle of a lost field in our little country.

Durante la semana santa de 2018 a la cual llamamos semana de turismo en Uruguay nos fuimos de paseo a Mercedes, la capital del departamento de Soriano, en el centro del país. Junto con Matias y Bruno ( @dontstopmenow ) recorrimos varios caminos de campo y carreteras secundarias que se pierden entre las onduladas sierras de infinitas praderas verdes, nuestro país ademas de ser muy pequeño en comparación con los países de Sudamerica tiene muy pocos habitantes, tan solo un poco mas de 3,5 millones de los cuales la mitad viven en Montevideo, la ciudad capital y el resto en su mayoría vive en la costa y el litoral del Rio Uruguay, así que cuando viajas por el centro del país puedes esperar ver mucha naturaleza y pocos pueblos, mucho ganado y plantaciones, mucho cielo y horizontes lejanos y nítidos. Así fue que en uno de estos caminos secundarios hallamos este ómnibus abandonado en la mitad de un campo, no pudimos entender bien como llego ahí o porque alguien lo dejo en la mitad de la nada, lo mas seguro es que seria muy viejo aun cuando estaba en actividad y se debe haber averiado no muy lejos de este campo, siendo un desperdicio llamar una grúa o intentar repararlo, de otra forma no lo entendemos, solo se que lo vimos como algo especial que nos hizo detener e inspeccionarlo, jugar un poco tal vez, no todos los días te encuentras con uno de estos en la mitad de un campo perdido en nuestro pequeño país.
