The Europa Clipper mission

NASA selected SpaceX for the launch of the Europa Clipper mission, the cost of the contract is approximately 178 million dollars, the mission will carry out a detailed study of Jupiter's moon Europa it is known that under its given surface there is a global ocean with a large amount of liquid water, some experts affirm that there may be much more water than the water in all the oceans of the earth and if there is water there may be life, but there are still many doubts since for life to emerge, others are necessary elements that may be absent in Europe.

The Europa Clipper mission is going to try to solve this mystery and for this it will use a sophisticated set of scientific instruments in order to fulfill the key objectives of the mission which are to produce high resolution images of the surface of Europa, determine its composition, look for signs of Recent or ongoing geological activity, measure the thickness of the layer in the age of the moon, look for underground lakes and determine the depth and salinity of the global ocean that underneath the icy crust of Europa.

La misión se lanzará en octubre del 2024 por medio de un cohete Falcón heavy desde el complejo de lanzamiento 39a en el centro espacial kennedy de la nasa en florida.
