Behind Hive: Meeting with Alejandra.her

Hi everyone,

The Discovery-it project "Behind Hive" continues. It takes care of presenting to the Community some of the most interesting authors that we have had the good fortune to meet on this path.

In particular, today we take you to discover @Alejandra.her!

She introduces herself in this way: “I am an editorial illustrator. I have not always been it, I have gone through one or another trade and labor, and with great determination I have come to be able to do what I love as a way of life. I am a teacher by profession, and I have practiced this career at different levels since I was 18 years old. Although I always enjoyed teaching, it was clear that it was not my passion. I worked with preschool children, teenagers and young people at university age and became a mother when I was still very young, it was there when I stopped teaching”. Alejandra.her tells us much more about herself in this introductory post for the Hive community. @alejandra.her/my-introduction-to-the-hive-community-who-is-alejandra-her

From the posts we can understand how Alejandra.her is a very complete artist. In fact, her illustrations are inspired by human subjects, often female, but also by the beauty of nature.

We are particularly attached to this author because, from the beginning, we understood her great artistic talent and we tried to actively support her.

Below, you can find some posts that we think are particularly noteworthy and that have breached our hearts!

Enjoy the reading!

Ese sueño/That dream. Ilustración y microcuento. Por Alejandra Herrera

Here is one of the first posts that we are pleasantly impressed with. Through a short story written by her, Alejandra.her transports us in her magnificent drawing depicting a bird with human features. The technique mixed with the creativity and sensitivity of the author gives us a beautiful artwork, which however simple it is able to convey many emotions.

We have always been impressed by the technique that Alejandra carried within her works. In this portrait, for example, we believe that the final effect is really pleasant. The movement given by the strokes makes the face animated every time you look at it.

The creative blocks very often give rise to interesting performances, as in the case of this female creature created by Alejandra.her during a stall moment. We begin to see the first elements that we will find in the future within her works. The feminine soul attached to the magic of nature will accompany us in all her works.

The author shows us a beautiful illustration inspired by the relationship with nature. First of all, Alejandra.her designed a female human figure and then built the environment around the subject, creating an atmosphere of magic and tranquility.

Ciao a tutti,

@alejandra.her/my-introduction-to-the-hive-community-who-is-alejandra-her
