I hope there are some Star Wars fans among my followers! I love this sci-fi universe and during the Christmas holidays I took advantage of my free time to see the episodes of "The Clone Wars", a simply amazing animated series that was released in 2008.
One of the first characters encountered during the vision is Ahsoka Tano, a young Jedi Padawan who is taught by master Anakin Skywalker.
The character also appears in two films: the eponymous "The Clone Wars" and "The Rise of Skywalker", as well as in the TV series "Rebels" and "The Mandalorian". It is certainly the latter that has sparked the recent interest in Ahsoka, as the most passionate fans have definitely appreciated her key role with Grogu.
The Padawan is characterized by an undisciplined, rebellious and enthusiastic temper. She is gifted with lively intelligence and has a strong sense of justice. The more I continue with the episodes, the more I realize how complex and interesting her character is!
In this post I share with you a personal reinterpretation of Ahsoka Tano in the Sith version, or what it would have been like if, instead of embracing the belief of the Jedi, she had served the Dark Side. The idea came to me thinking of the slow and progressive conversion of her master, Anakin Skywalker, who in the saga converts to the evil of the Dark Side, becoming Darth Vader (or Dart Fener).
Let's start with the physical aspect. In “The Clone Wars”, Ahsoka wears a burgundy colored top and her signature geometric symbol is the rhombus. In the following seasons she will wear other clothes, but this is my favorite version and that I have decided to represent it.
As for the lightsaber, initially Ahsoka has only one and a green one, but later we also see a second one appearing in yellow and with a shorter blade. After saying goodbye to the Jedi Order (memorable episode!), she decides to throw away both lightsabers, but her master Anakin gives her two more, this time in blue. However, the Jedi will lose both, and only as an adult she will make new, white ones. This color is not random, as she no longer intends to belong to any faction and therefore chooses a colorless lightsaber.
The following drawings were made in vector graphics with Adobe Illustrator software. The first thing to do was create Ahsoka Tano in the Jedi version, the original one. Then, I had fun creating different colors and light effects, darker and in full Sith style. There are two versions where Ahsoka meets the Dark Side, one with the red lightsaber and one with the purple lightsaber.

Io adoro questo universo fantascientifico e durante le vacanze di Natale ho approfittato del tempo libero a mia disposizione per vedere le puntate di “The Clone Wars”, una serie d’animazione semplicemente strabiliante mandata in onda nel 2008.
Uno dei primi personaggi che si incontrano durante la visione è Ahsoka Tano, una giovane Padawan Jedi che viene istruita dal maestro Anakin Skywalker.
Il personaggio appare anche in due film: l’omonimo “The Clone Wars” e “L’ascesa di Skywalker”, nonché nelle serie TV “Rebels” e “The Mandalorian”. È sicuramente quest’ultima ad aver suscitato il recente interesse nei confronti di Ahsoka, in quanto i fan più appassionati hanno decisamente apprezzato il suo ruolo chiave con Grogu.
La Padawan si contraddistingue per il carattere indisciplinato, ribelle ed entusiasta. È dotata di vivace intelligenza e ha un forte senso della giustizia. Più proseguo con le puntate, più mi rendo conto di quanto sia complesso e interessante il suo personaggio!
In questo post condivido con voi una personale reinterpretazione di Ahsoka Tano in versione Sith, ovvero come sarebbe stata se, anziché abbracciare il credo dei Jedi, avesse servito il Lato Oscuro. L’idea mi è venuta pensando alla lenta e progressiva conversione del suo maestro, Anakin Skywalker, che nella saga si converte al male del Lato Oscuro diventando Darth Vader (o Dart Fener).
Partiamo dall’aspetto. In “The Clone Wars”, Ahsoka indossa un top di colore bordeaux e il suo simbolo geometrico caratteristico è il rombo. Nelle stagioni successive indosserà altri abiti, ma questa è la versione che preferisco e che ho deciso di rappresentare.
Per quanto riguarda la spada laser, inizialmente Ahsoka ne possiede una sola e di colore verde, ma successivamente ne vediamo apparire anche una seconda di colore giallo e con la lama più corta. Dopo aver detto l’addio all’Ordine dei Jedi (episodio memorabile!), decide di cedere entrambe le spade laser, ma il suo maestro Anakin ne regala altre due, questa volta di colore blu. Però, la Jedi le perderà entrambe, e solo da adulta lei stessa se ne fabbricherà di nuove e di colore bianco. Questo colore non è casuale, in quanto non intende più appartenere a nessuna fazione e quindi sceglie una lama incolore.
I disegni che seguono sono stati realizzati in grafica vettoriale con il software Adobe Illustrator. La prima cosa da fare è stata creare Ahsoka Tano in versione Jedi, quella originale. Successivamente, mi sono sbizzarrita nel creare colori e giochi di luci diversi, più cupi e tenebrosi, in pieno stile Sith. Le versioni in cui Ahsoka incontra il lato oscuro sono due, una con la spada laser rossa e una con la spada laser viola.
