One day at night a friend of mine send me a text, "would you like to go for a tour? We all of the friends decided that we like to go for a tour to make some fun together and make refreshments also." I replied, "That's great! I wanna join also." Later on, we had to select a place. The name of that place is "Volagonj Safa Pathor" which is in the Sylhet division, in Bangladesh. The place is very popular for the White stones, It is the largest stone quarry in the country. The place is very much closer to the Indian border where has high hills and a river water beings a lot of stones through the wave. The journey date had been fixed but a miracle happed at that time most of my friends started showing some reason not to go on the tour. I said them Ok, No problem. I thought that tour should be cancelled because being a solo tour doesn't feel good.
At that time, I found another friend who had the same condition as mine. He also think the same as I was thinking at that moment. We talked with each together and decided that no need to wait for others. We will go together. I didn't lose the chance and the next day my friend and I started our journey. I was very excited to have the opportunity to go on tour after a long time and at the same time, there was some fear in my mind that I was going to a new place.
We started our journey very early in the morning from Brahmanbaria Sadar. At that time sun didn't come out, we took a CNG and went to the Bus Station( Bishow road) we had been waiting for a bus to go the Sylhet city after waiting 1 hour we got our perfect bus to go the Sylhet. The road was good, we found no jam, the bus was moving very fast and I was enjoying a great morning from the bus. After 3 hours bus journey we reached Sylhet safely. From that place, we took a CNG to go to the city. We both took our breakfast from a restaurant. Afterwards, We took 2 bus tickets to go to our most desire place "Volagonj Sada Pathor" & each ticket took 70 in BDT.
My friend and I bought a bus ticket and the bus started running 20 minutes after getting on the bus. The city is also famous for Tea all over the country, we sat on the bus and enjoyed the panoramic view of the roadside tea gardens. From the bus, we enjoyed the beauty of the surrounding village also. After a 30-minute bus journey and as we were approaching our destination, my eyes fell from the bus towards the hills of Meghalaya. Oh, what a beauty that was! Rows upon rows of hills and the cloud cover over the hills look as if the clouds have covered the hills. As we got off the bus, I stared at the beauty of the clouds over the mountains for a while.
Then we took tea and enjoyed the beauty of that place. Wait wait…! That's not the main place. The place was still left to go. We had to rent a boat to go to the main tourist spot. A boat can seat 8 people and the boat rent is 800tk(10$) but we were two so we had to get a lot of trouble to rent the boat. After a long wait at the boat dock, we found a group of our peers and we rented a boat with them. After about 20 minutes of boat travel,l we had reached our main destination that was "Volagon Sada Pastor". There are numerous combinations of white rocks and river water flowing through the white rocks.
That was a sunny day. We were very thirsty for the beauty of that place and tired also. My friend asked me, "What if the water is not cold?" After changing our clothes when we got down in the water, believe me, the water was too cold which had refreshed us within a moment. I felt peace maybe this is the peace which I was looking for a few years of the covid pandemic. We took bath at that place for approximately 2 hours. The water was very clear. On the National Geographic Channel, I saw fishing in the water flowing through the rocks. That's why I was looking to see fish in the water here, but I could not find it. While swimming there I caught a net in my leg and after a while,e I saw a man in the area catching a big fish and I went to see it but he hid the fish through his cloth.
I took a wheel and flowed myself through the wave. That was a memorable and enjoyable tour for me. There I found a good number of people someone came with family, someone came with friends to spend a quality time. Overall that was a perfect tour for me. After enjoying the tour now I'm feeling much better. If you tried with your life you may go for a tour believe me it will never disappoint you.
