Authentic Shahi Beef Rezala....!!

Rezala is one of the common dishes at any wedding ceremony in Bengali culture. You can easily made this recipe with beef/ mutton / chicken or lamb. There are a few ingredients by the help of those anyone can have the perfect Bangladeshi style rezala. In this blog, I’ve tried to show you absolutely mouth watering shahi rezala. Ingredients

• Beef
• Ghee
• Cooking oil
• Onion
• Green chilli
• Ginger
• Garlic
• Clove
• Cardamom
• Cinnamon
• Bay leaf
• Black pepper
• Cashews
• Raisin
• Curd
• Turmeric
• Red chilli
• Cumin
• Coriander
• Salt
• Garam masala powder

Cooking process

Cut the raw meat into equal size and rinse it with plain water. Here I use beef, you can also take chicken, mutton or lamb according to your preference.

Before marination, you have to make a paste with some cashew, raisin and fried onion. Mixing those in a grinder, don’t use any kind of plain water. Use here curd instead of water and mix them well.

For marination, take a bowl with raw meat. Add ginger, garlic and cumin paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder. Add here the mixture of cashews and then pour some cooking oil, salt to taste. Leave it for half an hour.

Take a curry cooker on stove. Add some oil and make it heat. After that add bay leafs, onions, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper and saute it for a minute.

After that, add here piercing chilli. Don’t skip it cause this one make your dish more delicious with the fragrance.

After turning golden brown, pour here marinated beef and continuous stir the pan. Stirring for few minutes then lid the pan and leave it for 10 minutes. Don’t forget to occasionally stir.

After few minutes add here a dash of water for the perfect texture and softness. Cook it for at least 15 minutes with low medium heat. Then your dish is perfectly ready to serve.
