El hecho de que quienes componente la élite del ajedrez mundial sean jugadores de una técnica indiscutible no significa que no caigan en las celadas que suelen darse en posiciones ordinarias hecho por jugadores aficionados o de menor nivel, la muestra más clara de lo que les estoy hablando sucedió en una partida en 1994 entre Veselin Topalov jugando con blancas frente a nada más y nada menos Gari "el ogro" Kaspárov con negras que como es habitual en él planteo una Defensa Siciliana siendo esta su favorita pero a pesar de que tomó una ventaja de dos peones sucede que cayó en el siguiente error.
Como ya dije Kaspárov con negras permite que Topalov active una de sus Torres en b7 y peor aún es que la otra Torre blanca en f1 tiene toda esa columna disponible para ocupar f7 cuando se lo permitan y aquí es donde digo que ni los grandes maestros pueden sobrevivir a dos torres en la séptima fila horizontal contra un acorralado Rey en la octava fila.
Claro Kaspárov amenaza cosas serias como Ag3+ aprovechando la clavada del Caballo en e2 y entonces las negras estarían a poco menos de dar jaque mate a las blancas, pero Topalov no permite que eso pase una vez que monta su otra Torre en f7
Y por si fuera poco agrega más ataque llevando su caballo a c6 Kaspárov se rinde antes de que le den jaque mate y la posición terminase probablemente así
Esto en el caso se que Topalov hubiese querido hacer ya que en la posición anterior Te7 es jaque mate también.
- Puedes aprovechar de montar las dos Torres en una fila contra el Rey y probablemente ganes la partida pero no puedes permitir que esto te pase a ti en tus partidas.

- You can take advantage of setting up the two Rooks in a file against the King and probably win the game but you can't let this happen to you in your games.
